My old room has new occupants and I ain't one of them. I made this decision just hours after my life returned to its usual state after Chebet left for school. The farewell was heart wrenching as she cried under my embrace. I swear I could've cried myself were it not for the fact that her younger sister was watching us.
And there is no uglier sight than seeing a grown ass man cry because of parting with a woman.I wouldn't want to be the talk of town.
Being careful
She came for the holiday as just a teen. Now she goes back as an 18 year old without an ID but still legally recognized as a citizen. I must admit that I am already missing her badly. I even feel bad about getting bored with her and I even blogged about it here. Right now I have realized that there is virtually no one around to help me fight the boredom. Will I be able to sustain the seven weeks that she will be away? Probably yes. I cannot write off the possibility of looking for someone to hang out just for fun. Her friends is a no-no for me. Though's there's one who is always sending me cheeky messages. I need to be careful here, no?
State of the Nation
But I will be back to a new place just close enough to town. For now I will be content to spend 50 bob for the fare to and from the town to home. No more rent, buying food and those annoying Sam visits.Right now I am watching the State of the Nation event on TV in my parent's house. This will be a boring thing to watch especially the speech. At least last year was lit due to the drama which I suspect will be missing today. My phone rings and it is Emma calling.
This means one thing, We're back to bedlam!
