Yes, nothing. She felt that it was safe walking around the village in a disguise, wearing those 'old ' clothes and wrapping her head like the village women do. We had covered enough ground till the rains forced us to take shelter at her uncle's shop. Lucky for us, he wasn't around so we had the whole shop to ourselves.
The rains went on for some time. That meant we had ample time to talk about other important issues.
Busier he is the better
Let me be clear. She has still banned me from talking about her rift with Sam which doesn't seem to be ending any time soon. Sam has been missing in action of late, perhaps it is the ongoing renovations at the County Assembly that is keeping him busy. All in all, the busier he is the better for me and Emma."Tony, nimekuwa nikifikiria sana about us."
"Us? kwani iko nini?"
"Hakuna. Just that nimekumiss sana."
She was happier and free with me.
That made my heart race so bad that I almost got a heart attack. We were standing so close to each other that I could smell her eau de cologne. She did not seem bothered by the curious sight that the villagers passing by gave us. She even allowed me to check her inbox! How lucky was I?When the rains finished, we were already holding hands. That was because of the muddy roads. I must admit that it was a good seeing her in this way. She looked happier, and free with me. She did not mind me and my jokes, even when I felt that it went too far.
Her goodbye hug was the best part! And guess what, today we are going to the market together. Is a reunion in the offing?
Nice one, it attracts attention of everyone. A good reunion!
